BROADFIELD COURT
Completed in 2019, Broadfield Court is a four-storey, metal-clad office building, which houses 16000-square-feet of high quality, flexible workspace. The scheme is located in Sheffield’s Sheaf Valley, an area with an eclectic mix of buildings and typologies.
The exemplary offices on offer at Broadfield Court are organised around a compact stair and amenity core, and provide local business tenants with light-filled, open-plan workplaces.
Materially, a skin of black, sinusoidal metal wraps around the building in reference to the history of industrial architecture in the Sheaf Valley area. Each façade is punctured by stretched windows and double-height corner curtain walling.
The development is situated on a brownfield site, amongst a complex of business units and adjacent to the elevated Midland railway line that passes through Sheffield’s southern suburbs towards the city centre. With it’s simple form and striking appearance, the design draws it’s key features from this unique and varied local context and site history.
