TRIANGULAR EXTENSION TO AN EXISTING DWELLING
The clients brief for this project was a sustainable extension that would maximise the sites south facing orientation and allow a better connection between the house’s internal spaces and the courtyard garden. Tatlow Stancer’s response to the brief is a development that seeks to reduce the built footprint on the site and in turn provide more green space, enhancing the appearance and aesthetic of the Green Belt to the south of the site.
Materially, the design features sustainable vertical larch cladding to the walls of the extension and red, mini-profile sinusoidal cladding to the walls and roof of the conservatory link block.
The project received planning permission in late 2021 and construction work on the project is scheduled to begin in 2023.
