PRIVATE DWELLING FULWOOD

Tatlow Stancer were commissioned by the Client to design a new home in the grounds of their existing properties on Fulwood Road, to provide a new detached unit of accessible living accommodation. The project brief stipulated that the new home should be spacious, comfortable and include sustainable features wherever possible to reduce energy consumption.

The house takes the form of three interlinked volumes, each with its own distinct character and appearance. Careful consideration was given to the materials selection for each of the buildings, and various iterations and options were tested through 3D modelling. The final iteration of the design features corrugated Corten weathering steel sheet cladding, timber cladding and sandstone as facing materials.

The project received planning permission in 2022 and construction work on the project is scheduled to begin in 2023.
